BLACKPINK Partners with Tamagotchi for New Virtual Pet Merchandise

BLACKPINK has officially teamed up with Tamagotchi for a unique virtual pet merchandise collaboration, blending K-pop fandom with nostalgic pop culture.

YG Select announced the BLACKPINK x Tamagotchi partnership, revealing that the “BLACKPINK Original Tamagotchi” will begin pre-launch on December 23 at 2 p.m.

KST through KakaoTalk gifting. The collaboration introduces a pink, egg-shaped keychain device featuring a heart-shaped screen, allowing fans to care for digital versions of the BLACKPINK members.

The virtual pet concept has sparked excitement among fans, many of whom appreciate the nostalgic appeal of Tamagotchi combined with BLACKPINK’s branding. YG Select also confirmed that additional collaboration items are planned for release in 2026, signaling a longer-term partnership.

While the collectible has been warmly received, some fans have also expressed hope that the collaboration may coincide with news of new music, as the group continues its hiatus. Still, the BLACKPINK x Tamagotchi release showcases the group’s enduring cultural impact and ability to connect generations through creative merchandise.
