The center, established at Severance Hospital following a significant 5 billion KRW (approximately $3.6 million USD) donation from BTS member SUGA (real name: Min Yoongi), is dedicated to supporting the care and social integration of young patients.
A Unique Therapeutic Journey The MIND program, co-developed by SUGA and Professor Chun Geun-ah, a pediatric psychiatrist at Severance, integrates music into social skills training and emotional expression therapy. SUGA's involvement extended beyond funding, with reports indicating he personally volunteered over several weekends to teach instruments and participate in sessions with the children, guiding them to "find rhythm at their own pace" and harmonize with one another.
This concert was the culmination of months of hard work, marking a significant milestone in the children's therapeutic journey. "Even children who weren't naturally proficient in instruments are creating quite impressive music through training," said Professor Cheon Keun-ah, director of the center, highlighting that the experience of practicing and receiving applause is a vital part of their treatment.

Adding to the excitement, the performers were joined on stage by members of the SUGA Crew, the live band that accompanied the global superstar on his acclaimed Agust D "D-DAY" world tour. Guitarist Park Shinwon, drummer Kim Jinheon, and keyboardist Kim Changhyun provided special performances alongside the children, creating a truly memorable evening.

Tickets for the event, priced at a modest 20,000 KRW to ensure accessibility, sold out almost immediately, demonstrating the immense public support for this meaningful initiative. While SUGA himself was unable to attend the concert to ensure safety and prevent overcrowding, he reportedly sent a message of deep pride to the performers, cheering them on from afar.
Proceeds from the concert will be directed back into the Min Yoongi Treatment Center to support future therapy sessions and music events, ensuring the program's continued success and expansion.
